BURNDY® ACQUIRES IMPLO TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
BURNDY, a leading
manufacturer and provider of connector and tooling solutions to the industrial,
telecom, and energy industries, has acquired IMPLO
Technologies, Inc. (www.implotech.ca), a
leader in the field of implosive connector products for the Utility market,
based in
Markham, Ontario
. This acquisition will allow BURNDY to leverage
the technology developed by IMPLO to complement the full line of products the
company offers to address Transmission interconnect applications.
The increasing acceptance of implosive
technology as a means for the installation of transmission connectors for the
Utility marketplace is the result of intensive research & development
coupled with successful testing and field installations. The result is a high quality, long lasting
connection synonymous with that of the BURNDY® Transmission
portfolio of products. The family of
IMPLO products is a strong complement to BURNDY’s extensive transmission product
portfolio, which has been instrumental in the transmission of electrical power
in locations throughout the world.
