CONDUCTOR TYPE

 

The first group of numbers indicates the type of accessory.

      Prefix 1XXX relates to Full Tension Joint
        Can be prepared as a T-TAP: 1XXX-T

        Prefix 2XXX relates to Dead End Joint (a) (b) (c)

        Prefix 3XXX relates to Jumper Terminals (a)

        Prefix 71XXX relates to Repair Full Tension Joint (d)

        Prefix 72XXX relates to Repair Dead End Joint (a) (b) (c) (d)

        Prefix 9XXX relates to Repair Sleeve (e)
        Can be prepared as a T-TAP: 9XXX-T

        Prefix 19XX relates to Full Tension Joint for Steel Wire

        Prefix 29XX relates to Dead End Joint for Steel Wire

The second group of numbers indicates the conductor code.
For convenience, the catalogue includes the Code Name,
Stranding and the Size of each conductor.

By default, in this catalogue the angle of the NEMA pad is always 15¡. Implo can supply non-standard Dead Ends and Jumper Terminals with a NEMA pad other than 15¡, as required. This must be shown in the third group of numbers as shown in the following example:

By default, Dead Ends fittings have a single NEMA pad. Implo can supply non-standard Dead Ends with a Double NEMA pad if required. This must be specified by adding the letters "DN" as shown in the following example:

The default Eyebolt on a Dead End fitting is Round Eye (type M or P). If required, an Oval Eye Bolt can be supplied as well. This must be specified by adding the letters F or C. See example numbering below.

Type M for ULT strength up to 40 kps.
Type P for ULT strength up to 80 kps.

Type F for ULT strength up to 40 kps. 
Type C for ULT strength up to 80 kps.

Repair Joints are not shown in the catalogue. Implo supplies these types of fittings in any length required. This must be specified by adding the length of the fitting at the end of the description. For the Repair Joint, this number indicates the damaged length of the conductor as shown in the following example:

Repair Sleeve fittings are not shown in the catalogue. The standard length of these fittings is 16", but length can be up to 18". Repair Sleeves can be fabricated with a NEMA pad (T-TAP) welded at 90¡ to the sleeve. Depending on the application, this T-TAP can also be welded at 0¡ to the sleeve. See examples below:
