Grounding
grid connector

A new paradigm in connecting grounding grids!
Implosive
energy is used to produce a high quality metallurgical bond between the copper wires
of a grounding grid. Unlike the conventional process, our process uses no heat.
It relies purely upon implosive pressure to connect the joints. The weld
provides a high strength joint, with better conductivity. The process is not
affected by handling or by weather conditions, and is perfectly reproducible
every time. The principal behind the new joining technology is based on the
well known XECONEXTM implosive splice that has been in use for
several decades for connecting high voltage conductors. The process is easy to use
and perfectly reproducible every time.
The
grounding grid connector consists of a simple pre-formed sleeve, wrapped with a
small, engineered, explosive charge. On installation, the charge compresses the
sleeve around the copper wires of the grounding grid. This connector needs no
mechanical equipment for installation, and installs quickly and easily. The
connection is a uniform high strength bond at all points of contact.
This connector can be installed in every possible configuration that may be required in any grounding application, including cross, t-connection and elbow. This makes connecting wires to grounding rods a simple and reliable operation. Only a single component is needed in inventory as only the one component is used for all connections.
